Terms of Service

These terms apply to photography, film and social media production supplied by Short Roll Media Ltd (“Short Roll Media”, “we”, “us”) to you (“the client”). By submitting a booking enquiry or confirming a shoot you agree to these terms. Last updated: September 2026.

1. Quotes and prices

Prices shown on this site are fixed and are the total payable. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Properties of five bedrooms or more are quoted individually. Travel within 20 miles of Knebworth is included; longer journeys are quoted separately. Where virtual staging is booked as an extra, the delivered images are clearly labelled as virtually staged. Where a virtual tour is booked, hosting of the tour is included free of charge for 3 months from delivery; continued hosting after that period can be arranged on request.

2. Booking and deposits

A booking is confirmed once we reply by email with a date. A 50 per cent deposit holds the slot and the balance falls due on delivery.

3. Access and the shoot

You are responsible for arranging access and for informing the occupier of the appointment. Rooms are filmed as found; light tidying is included, styling and moving furniture is not.

4. Delivery and amends

Assets are delivered by download link within 24 hours of the shoot on a normal working day. One round of amends is included; further changes are charged at our standard rate.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the appointment are rescheduled at no cost. Inside 24 hours, or where access is not available on arrival, the deposit is retained.

If you are booking as a consumer (that is, not in the course of a business), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to carry out the shoot within that 14-day period, you agree that we may begin work straight away, and a reasonable charge reflecting work already carried out may apply if you then cancel.

6. Licence and copyright

Copyright remains with Short Roll Media Ltd. You receive an unlimited licence to use the assets to market the property concerned and to promote your agency. Resale or transfer to third parties requires our written consent.

7. Liability

We carry public liability insurance. Subject to the paragraph below, our liability for any claim is limited to the fee paid for the work concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.

8. Data protection

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.
